We have a wonderful year planned with lots of amazing learning experiences both in and out of the classroom.
Our topics include:
- Off With Her Head! (The Tudors)
- Stargazers
- Pharaohs
- Allotment
- Scream Machine
Within these topics, we include a range of educational visits or visitors to immerse the children into each topic. We also hold parent workshops termly which gives the children the opportunity to learn alongside their parents/carers.
As well as following the National Curriculum, we enhance our learning via our unique Curriculum Promise. This is split into three key sections:
Personal development- this goes beyond our PSHE lessons and supports children with wider contexts such as how to stay safe online and in person, positive relationships and careers.
People of note- we look at key contemporary and historical figures in the fields of literature, science and the arts.
Key events- here we calendar a range of key dates which we participate in such as National celebrations, religious festivals and elements linked to British Values.
